Elk, Acoustic Guitar with Pick-Up
A modified acoustic guitar made by "Elk". (and someone else)
Starting at the top - the tuning keys have been changed and really do hold the notes. The neck is straight and has quite a low action.
Zero fret (typically German) Bolt-on neck. Rosewood fret-board.
It has a double coil pick-up fixed in the sound-hole, 1 volume, 1 tone controls and a split coil switch, giving extra tone choices.
The bridge is not original at-all. It was a floating bridge but this has been changed to a fixed bridge - the intonation is spot-on!
Great guitar for playing the blues or even The Pogues style Irish folk.
