12 Chord Zither with Modulators
A 12 chord zither made by the monks of d'Encalcat in the South of France.
The Rolls Royce of zithers or psaltry makers.
This has 12 sets of chords each with 4 strings. With the modulators you can change the major chords into sharps and minors, giving a choice of 24 chords in total. There are 34 melody strings. 82 strings in total.
Excellent condition, probably not played very often. All the modulators function, strings in good condition as are the tuning pins.
Lost a bit of stain on the hand rail where there was a sticker! Apart from that it's in top condition.
Dimensions are - 62cm wide x 55cm high. It comes in its padded "gig" bag with shoulder strap (it weighs 6.8kg!) also a tuning key.
It will also be tuned before leaving my workshop.
